A RAID conducted by joint elements of the Department of Agriculture-Office of Assistant Secretary for Inspectorate and Enforcement (DA-IE) and two other government agencies resulted in the seizure of allegedly smuggled meat in Dasmariñas, Cavite, on Wednesday, September 27.

According to the DA, around 1,714 kilos of smuggled Indian Buffalo Meat (IBM) valued at P445,666 were found by the raiders composed of personnel from the DA, the National Meat Inspection Service (NMIS) and the Philippine Coast Guard (PCG) during a joint anti-smuggling operation and food safety inspection.
