THE observance of International Translation Day on Sept. 30, 2023, became more meaningful to all translators in the Philippines, punctuated by a three-day conference that sought to give a well-deserved status to the translation profession.
Dubbed "Mga Dalumat at Realidad ng Pagsasalin" (Concepts and Realities of Translation: National Conference of Translators in the Philippines)," the conference was able to bring together translators in the country and discuss current issues related to the state of translation and translators in the country.
