US judge blocks execution of mentally ill Texas man

Washington, United States: A US District Court has blocked the execution of a schizophrenic man who had been sentenced to die in Texas for a double murder.

Scott Panetti, 65, who has suffered from mental illness for decades, was condemned to death in 1995 for the shooting of his estranged wife's parents.
