TACLOBAN CITY: The Department of Environment and Natural Resources (DENR) Community Environment and Natural Resources Office (Cenro) in Barangay Candahug, Palo, Leyte has admitted that the ongoing reclamation and land development at a mangrove area here is illegal as it lacks the necessary permit.

DENR-Cenro officer Crisostomo Badeo Jr. said the City Government of Tacloban should submit and comply with the necessary documents such as the Environmental Compliance Certificate (ECC) and other documents to legalize the development activities at Barangay 66-A in Anibong District.
