ONCE considered the pound-for-pound king of pro boxing, Mexican superstar Saul 'Canelo' Alvarez, based on his recent fights, has looked vulnerable or anything but his vintage self.

Alvarez is only 33 years old, but this is a guy who started hitting the sandbag at the tender age of 13 after watching his older brother Rigoberto make his pro debut. By the time he was 15 years old, Alvarez was already a pro boxer.
