Agri group welcomes rejection of rice tariff cuts

The Samahang Industriya ng Agrikultura (Sinag) said they applaud President Marcos' rejection of the proposed measure, adding that 'it is the first time a sitting President has rejected the proposal to reduce tariffs.'

'We, the whole agriculture industry and all allied sectors, are very grateful to our President Ferdinand R. Marcos Jr. for listening to the cries of our farmers,' said Sinag President Rosendo So.
