BUDAPEST: Hungarian Prime Minister Viktor Orbán said on Monday his country was in no hurry to ratify Sweden's bid to join the North Atlantic Treaty Organization (NATO), suggesting that the Nordic country could face further delays in becoming a member of the military alliance.

During the opening fall session of Hungary's parliament, Orbán told lawmakers that "nothing is threatening Sweden's security," and Budapest was therefore in "no rush" to ratify Stockholm's NATO accession.
