P28M worth of smuggled cigarettes seized

DAVAO CITY: The military and police have confiscated P28.8 million worth of smuggled cigarettes at the Minterbro Wharf here in Barangay Ilang on Monday morning.

Task Force Davao spokesman Capt. John Louie Dema-ala reported that the joint operation of the TFD and Davao City Police Office resulted in the seizure of 1,152 undocumented boxes of assorted cigarettes with an estimated street value of P28,800,000 from a boat docked at Minterbro Wharf.
