MNLF leaders move to oust Misuari's son

ZAMBOANGA CITY: Senior leaders of the former rebel group Moro National Liberation Front (MNLF) have passed a resolution seeking to remove from his position the eldest son of the group's chieftain Nur Misuari for betrayal and usurpation and abuse of authority.

The resolution, signed September 15 by Sheikh Mohamad Parid Solaiman Adas, the MNLF's secretary general for Islamic Affairs, accused Ustadz Abdulkarim Misuari of betraying the cause of the MNLF for accepting the government's offer for him to be the deputy speaker of the Bangsamoro Transition Authority Parliament.
