Soldiers at BRP Sierra Madre can now 'stay connected'

A portable solar power station will soon be deployed to soldiers manning BRP Sierra Madre, a Philippine outpost in Ayungin Shoal in West Philippine Sea, that 'meets their needs' and to allow them 'to stay connected no matter where they are.'

Presently, the regimen of troops stationed in the rusty grounded ship in Ayungin Shoal are solely dependent on diesel fuel for energy.
