Marcos certifies as urgent Magna Carta of Filipino Seafarers

PRESIDENT Ferdinand Marcos Jr. has certified as urgent the proposed Magna Carta of Filipino Seafarers, a bill that would provide better protection for Filipino seafarers, Malacañang announced Tuesday.

In his letter to Senate President Juan Miguel Zubiri dated September 25, Marcos called for the immediate enactment of Senate Bill 2221, or 'An Act Providing for the Magna Carta of Filipinos Seafarers.'
