ON this historic day in 1932, King Abdulaziz bin Abdul Rahman Al Saud — may God have mercy on him — united disparate regions into the modern Saudi state by christening it 'The Kingdom of Saudi Arabia (KSA).' This momentous unification was a testament to the founding king's remarkable dedication in the face of formidable challenges, laying the foundation for the contemporary kingdom.
