Upgrade of Subic port to boost trade, tourism

PORT operations giant Harbour Centre Port Terminal Inc. (HCPTI) has entered into a joint-venture deal with the Subic Bay Metropolitan Authority (SBMA) to modernize the Subic Bay Freeport Zone's (SBFZ) port, yard, and cargo handling operations.

The deal is expected to generate new income, raise government revenues, create jobs, expand trade, attract foreign and local investments, and boost tourism at the SBFZ and the rest of Zambales and northern Luzon.
