If you've ever seen a Hallmark movie you will understand that the plot is simple: a workaholic executive is either fired, fed up with her job, and/or heartbroken decides to give it all up for a quieter life away from the city.

The lead always exchanges her high heels for some work boots and ends up falling in love with the town heartthrob. These movies are my go-to whenever I am feeling overwhelmed, burnt out, or both. Without much shame attached to it, one of the main reasons I moved away from the Philippines was out of the desire to have a quieter, less fast paced lifestyle. In 2017 there really wasn't a term for it but today there is.
