Japan broadcaster to acquire Hayao Miyazaki's Studio Ghibli

Tokyo: Hayao Miyazaki's celebrated Japanese animation house Studio Ghibli said Thursday it will be acquired by private broadcaster Nippon TV, citing his old age.

Miyazaki, widely considered one of the world's greatest animators, founded Studio Ghibli in 1985, and it went on to produce the Oscar-winning 'Spirited Away' and the fan-favorite 'My Neighbor Totoro'.
