Estafa charges filed vs Negros town official

BACOLOD CITY: A municipal councilor in Negros Occidental is facing alleged large scale estafa charges after eight of the 47 victims of an alleged police recruitment scam filed charges against him before the Negros Occidental Provincial Prosecutor's Office on Wednesday.

La Castellana Mayor Rhumyla Nicor-Mangilimutan confirmed the filing of charges by the victims against Sangguniang Bayan Member Donato Dumaguit and his alleged cohort identified as Mary June de los Santos of Bacolod City.
