(UPDATE) SEN. Rafael "Raffy" Tulfo on Thursday expressed dismay over the very low enrollment rate of domestic workers in the Social Security System (SSS), the Philippine Health Insurance Corp. (PhilHealth) and the Home Development Mutual Fund or Pag-IBIG.

A 2019 Philippine Statistics Authority and Department of Labor and Employment survey said that of the 1.4 million registered domestic workers in the country, only 6 percent or 84,190 were enrolled by their employers in SSS, 5 percent or 74,858 in PhilHealth and 3.4 percent or 51, 579 in Pag-IBIG.
