Countries push treaty to curb nuclear materials

THE Philippines, Japan and Australia urged the international community to start negotiations on a treaty to curb 'fissile materials' that can be weaponized for war.

The United Nations Office for Disarmament Affairs (Unoda) said fissile materials are those that can undergo fission reactions.
