(UPDATE) LOCAL governments in most of Metro Manila and Calabarzon (Cavite, Laguna, Batangas, Rizal, Queozn) suspended classes on Friday due to the volcanic smog or vog from Taal Volcano and the health risks it poses, advising their constituents to "wear protective gear and avoid outdoor activities unless necessary." The Metropolitan Manila Development Authority (MMDA) said the cities of Muntinlupa, Las Piñas, Pasay, Paranaque, and San Juan have suspended classes in all levels in public and private schools.
