THE St. Louis Blues have named forward Brayden Schenn as their new captain in the National Hockey League (NHL).

Schenn was introduced at a press conference as the 24th captain of the NHL franchise on Tuesday, succeeding Ryan O'Reilly, who was traded to the Toronto Maple Leafs last season and has since signed with the Nashville Predators for the upcoming season.
