DOTr orders filing of charges against erring airport security officer

TRANSPORTATION Secretary Jaime J. Bautista on Thursday directed the Office for Transportation Security (OTS) tofile charges against a security screening officer involved in the September 8 theft at the Ninoy Aquino International Airport (NAIA) Terminal 1.

Bautista expressed frustration and dismay at the incident at NAIA where the government was recently trying 'to promote among potential foreign investors who may want to operate and maintain the country's main gateway.'
