LeBron James is not just the king of basketball today, he is very adept at maximizing, even manipulating the news cycle. It's a polarizing skill, as it has won him a legion of fans, but also harvested a slew of critics who can see through his narcissism.
Yes, LeBron James wants it to be all about him, but so do a lot of people. The only difference is that he succeeds most of the time. It's still downright annoying, but you have to admit, after Team USA's FIBA World Cup debacle, LeBron's resolve has given them reason to hope with a vengeance. Other countries will find that arrogant, and may even accuse him of "stealing the thunder" from the World Cup champion Germany.
