LINGAYEN, Pangasinan: The provincial board of Pangasinan asked the Department of Public Works and Highways (DPWH) on Thursday to stop the ongoing construction of a seawall along the Lingayen Gulf here, saying the project should comply with the requirements for its construction.
The resolution was issued at the end of a joint committee public hearing which was conducted after the provincial board received a letter signed by five fishermen groups from Lingayen and Binmaley asking the board members to stop the seawall project.
