THE juvenile court in Kuwait has convicted Turki Ayed Al-Azmi, the killer of Filipina house helper Jullebee Ranara, and sentenced him to 15 years imprisonment, the Department of Foreign Affairs (DFA) said.
Al-Azmi, 17, was also meted a one-year prison term for driving without a license, the DFA said, citing a report from the Philippine Embassy in Kuwait.

'The lesser penalties were due to the accused's being a minor. He has 30 days to appeal the judgment to the Court of First Instance,' the DFA said in a statement Thursday night.
