NEW motor vehicle sales slowed in August but remained higher year to date, data from the Chamber of Automotive Manufacturers of the Philippines Inc. (Campi) and the Truck Manufacturers Association (TMA) showed on Thursday.
At 36,714 units, the number was 1 percent lower than the 37,068 recorded in July. It boosted the eight-month sales tally to 276,215 units, 29.8 percent higher than the 212,872 seen in the comparable 2022 period.
