KABAYAN party-list Rep. Ron Salo has filed a bill that seeks to amend Republic Act (RA) 9127, or the 'Magna Carta of Public Health Workers.' The measure, House Bill 9127, was filed on Tuesday.

In a press release on Wednesday, Salo said: 'The Magna Carta of Public Health Workers was a crucial milestone in recognizing the vital role our health workers play in our society. However, the passage of over three decades necessitates an update to reflect the changing times and to ensure that our public health workers are justly compensated for their tireless efforts.' RA 7305, or 'The Magna Carta of Public Health Workers,' was enacted on March 26, 1992.
