ON top of the conduct of its country-wide service caravans, which aimed to give basic government service to far-flung municipalities, the Presidential Commission for the Urban Poor (PCUP) has actively supported and facilitated the development of the Quezon City (QC) People's Plan in collaboration with the QC local government unit to help cope with the changes brought by housing and infrastructure developments in the country.
In a meeting last August 1 with QC Mayor Maria Josefina "Joy" Belmonte, a resolution was approved to establish a People's Plan Committee (PPC) that would directly report to the Local Housing Board (LCB). PCUP was assigned as chairman of LCB.
