SEN. Christopher Lawrence "Bong" Go graced the groundbreaking ceremony of the Hilongos Super Health Center in Leyte on September 1 and underscored the facilities' role in advancing primary care, consultation and early detection of diseases as crucial services to protect the health of Filipinos, especially in grassroots communities.

Go, who chairs the Senate Committee on Health and Demography, said a comprehensive strategy is essential for strengthening the nation's health care infrastructure, stressing that such a focus would enable the Philippines to better tackle health care challenges and improve the well-being of its citizens.
