(UPDATE) CASHLESS transactions will soon be the norm inside all prison facilities and penal colonies throughout the country.

Bureau of Corrections (BuCor) director Gen. Gregorio Catapang Jr. on Saturday said that prohibiting persons deprived of liberty (PDLs) as well as correction officers from possessing money inside prison facilities could help stop illegal activities involving cash transactions.
