PH factory output accelerates in July

MANUFACTURING output picked up in both value and volume terms in July, the Philippine Statistics Authority (PSA) reported on Thursday.

The Value of Production Index (VaPI) expanded by 5.7 percent, up from 4.2 percent a month earlier. It was, however, slower than the year-earlier 12.1 percent.
