UK bans Wagner, calls it a 'terrorist' group

LONDON: The United Kingdom will ban the Russian mercenary group Wagner as a terrorist organization, Defense Secretary Grant Shapps confirmed on Wednesday.

'Given the activities they're involved with, it's important that as far as the UK is concerned, it will be illegal to be part of them,' Shapps told the Sky News channel.
