KYIV: United States Secretary of State Anthony Blinken made an unannounced visit to Kyiv on Wednesday, hours after Russia launched its first missile attack on the Ukrainian capital in a week.
Blinken's trip aimed to assess Ukraine's three-month-old counteroffensive and signal continued US support for Kyiv's efforts to drive out the Kremlin's forces as some Western allies are expressing worries about progress after 18 months of war, US officials said.
