Kanlaon Volcano placed under Alert Level 1

THE Philippine Institute of Volcanology and Seismology (Phivolcs) has issued a notice following an increase in seismic activity at Kanlaon Volcano on the Negros Islands.

The volcano is currently under Alert Level 1, which means that there is a slight increase in volcanic earthquakes as well as steam or gas activity.
