BuCor demolishes huts

BUREAU of Corrections (BuCor) chief Gregorio Catapang said on Wednesday that 2,813 'kubol,' or makeshift huts, inside the New Bilibid Prison (NBP) in Muntinlupa City have been demolished since late August.

Catapang said the illegal structures were removed to improve the monitoring of inmates, adding the NBP plans to install CCTV around the maximum security compound and even inside individual cells.
