Peso weakens further but stock market gains

The currency weakened by 14 centavos to P56.94:$1, while the benchmark Philippine Stock Exchange index (PSEi) added 16.69 points, or 0.27 percent, to end the day at 6,241.69.

The broader All Shares gained 8.11 points, or 0.24 percent, to 3,368.25.
