The Federation of Free Farmers (FFF) said on Wednesday that the proposal of the National Economic and Development Authority and some business groups to reduce tariffs on imported rice will result in farmers losing incomes.
One of the proposed measures is to cut the current 35-percent tariff on imported rice to 10 percent to lower the cost of imported rice to augment local stocks.
