Germany holds off Latvia, sets up semifinal clash against USA

Germany held off Latvia, 81-79, at the Mall of Asia Arena on Wednesday, September 6 to set up a semifinal clash against USA in the FIBA Basketball World Cup.

The Germans took a 79-69 advantage but the World Cup debutants Latvians fought back with a 10-2 run to pull within two, 79-81, in the quarterfinal match
