LPA off extreme NLuzon develops into tropical depression, is named 'Ineng'

THE low pressure area (LPA) off extreme Northern Luzon has escalated into a tropical depression to be called 'Ineng,' the ninth storm to enter the country this year and the first this month, the state-run weather agency said on Tuesday.

Weather specialist Grace Castaneda said Ineng is moving north-ward slowly while packing maximum sustained winds of 45 kilometers per hour (kph) near the center and gustiness of up to 55kph.
