Preventive suspension

Dear PAO,

My sister works in a private company. She was preventively suspended by her employer for 45 days because she was allegedly involved in an anomaly and was investigated based on the accusation of her immediate supervisor. She was later found innocent. Is the employer correct in imposing the said preventive suspension?
