A SO-CALLED "mega consortium" that originally offered an unsolicited proposal to rehabilitate and operate the Ninoy Aquino International Airport (NAIA) has moved to participate in a competitive bidding for the facility.
The Manila International Airport Consortium (MIAC) — composed of six of the country's largest conglomerates and US-based airport operator Global Infrastructure Partners — was said to have bought bid documents for the P171-billion project.
