With tambourine and drums, some 20 South Sudanese nationals danced and chanted cheers like it was a street party as they celebrated their national team's victory over Angola in the FIBA World Cup on Saturday night, Sept. 2 at the Smart Araneta Coliseum in Quezon City.

They have all the reasons to be overjoyed as their country South Sudan made history after history as it earned its first Olympic berth right on their very first FIBA World Cup stint.
