SEC official calls for lower friction costs

FRICTION costs associated with financial transactions have to be lowered to facilitate companies' access to capital markets and facilitate listings, a Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC) official said.

'When I say frictional costs, these are expenses for capital market issuances,' SEC Commissioner Kelvin Lee said last week.
