THE Department of Social Welfare and Development (DSWD) has launched Project LAWA (Local Adaptation to Water Access), which it said will help improve the resilience of communities affected by the El Niño phenomenon.

Launched in Davao de Oro, Ifugao and Antique on Thursday, Project LAWA is the government's early action strategy that seeks to reduce the effects of drought and dry periods through the establishment of small farm reservoirs (SFRs).
