Enrollment down by 16%

BACOLOD CITY: Enrollment in public schools in Negros Occidental for the school year 2023-2024 dropped by 16 percent.

Ian Arnold Arnaez, public information officer of the Schools Division Office of the Department of Education in Negros Occidental, said their quick count data shows that 294,000 students have enrolled for the school year 2023-2024, down 16 percent from the recorded 337,000 enrollees last year.
