THE Philippine Atmospheric, Geophysical and Astronomical Services Administration (Pagasa) said on Friday that more volumes of rainfall are still needed for the Angat Dam in Norzagaray, Bulacan, main source of water supply for Metro Manila, to reach its normal high water level (NHWL).
On one hand, Pagasa hydrologist Richard Orendain told The Manila Times in an exclusive interview that one gate of Ipo Dam, also in Norzagaray, has been opened at 0.15 meters as it nears its spilling level. Ipo Dam's NHWL is 101 meters and its current reservoir water level (RWL) is 100.92 meters.
