SIGNAL no. 1 has been raised over Batanes Island as 'Hanna' (international name Haikui) has reached typhoon category, the Philippine Atmospheric Geophysical Astronomical Services Administration (Pagasa) said, Saturday.
The state-run weather bureau said Batanes may expect minimal to minor impacts of strong winds brought by the outer rainbands of 'Goring' within the next 36 hours.
