More memories made at 'Nostalgia' exhibit

Plus: Marcy David's post-birthday luncheon

On July 19 at Fashion Interiors by Paul Cornilessen in Makati City, the duo exhibition entitled 'Nostalgia: Trip Down the Memory Lane' by Artists Ayen Quias and Noel Nicolas, curated by Michelle Villamor, was opened by esteemed guests of honor Robert Yupangco, Roberto Alvarez, Dr. Fritzie Noche, Shilpa Tolani, Marisol Campbell and Gov. Rose Peña, and ended on July 31 with colorful visual nostalgia.

Nicolas, a graduate of Fine Arts majoring in Interior Design at University of the East, has artwork that aims to capture fleeting moments. He depicts various pauses. Likened to the popular saying, he takes time to pause and smell the roses, relax before starting again. Nicolas's 'Pause Transformation' is captured in this quote: 'We sometimes forget about the beauty and transformative power of a simple life during so much conflict and turmoil. In a fast-paced world, it can be hard to slow down, pause, and reflect on what is happening around us.'
