(UPDATE) THE National Disaster Risk Reduction and Management Council (NDRRMC) declared a red alert on Thursday as two weather disturbances enhanced the southwest monsoon, posing threat to 85,395 families.
The Philippine Atmospheric, Geophysical and Astronomical Services Administration (Pagasa) said more rains are expected as the southwest monsoon was enhanced by Super Typhoon "Goring," which has since left the Philippine Area of Responsibility (PAR), and Severe Tropical Storm "Hanna," which is forecast to enter the country in 36 hours.
