NBA veteran and China's naturalized player Kyle Anderson collected 17 points, seven rebounds and four assists as he powered his team to an 83-76 win against Angola in the classification round of the 2023 FIBA World Cup on Thursday, August 31, at the Smart Araneta Coliseum in Quezon City.

It was the first win for China in the tournament after they went 0-3 in the group stage. It was also the first win for Anderson, who uses his Chinese name Kaier Li in the tournament, since he got his FIBA approval as the team's naturalized player.
