WATCH: Romualdez, lawmakers join Customs in surprise inspection of rice warehouses in Bulacan

Speaker Ferdinand Martin G. Romualdez, along with other lawmakers, joins the Bureau of Customs in another surprise inspection of several large rice warehouses in Bulacan on Wednesday, Aug. 30, 2023, amid suspicions that hoarding is driving up the price of the staple grain. With him are House of Representatives' Deputy Majority Leader Erwin Tulfo, Bulacan 5th District Rep. Ambrosio Cruz, Jr., and House Committee on Agriculture and Food Chairman Mark Enverga. The group inspected Gold Rush Rice Mill, Gold Rush Rice Mill 2, JSS Rice Mill and another rice warehouse that had no marking or signage.
